Christian Ryan (SPC 1992-95) boarded at St Patrick’s College for four years after hailing from Warrnambool.
He is the son of Old Collegian David Ryan (SPC 1964-68) who formed part of the group of parents/Old Collegians who rallied so hard at the turn of the century to save boarding at the College following a previous Headmaster’s decision to close it down.
Christian was College Captain in 1995 and was also a member of the 1st XVIII and the 1st IV Head of the Lake winning rowing team.
Christian won an Olympic silver medal in the men’s eights at the Sydney Olympics and is now founder, owner and managing director of major wealth and asset management company Beulah Capital.
Christian is the vice president of the North Old Boys-St Patrick’s College Amateur Football Club in the Victorian Amateur Football Association and is the father of two primary school aged children.
Christian dedicates much of his success to his years boarding at St Patrick’s College and remains a passionate, committed and incredibly well connected Old Collegian.
We were delighted when Christian agreed to become patron of the Boarding Precinct Appeal.
