The St Patrick's College Old Collegians Association hosts an annual Legends Dinner in May each year at which esteemed Old Collegians are inducted as Legends of the College. A Melbourne Legends Dinner is held every second year with the next one scheduled for 2017.
Being inducted as a Legend is the highest honour the OCA bestows upon its Old Collegians. To date more than 60 Old Collegians have been inducted.
Some of the people who have been inducted in the past include Cardinal George Pell, former Victorian Premier Steve Bracks, Olympians Steve Moneghetti and Anthony Edwards, cinematographer David Parer, Brownlow Medallists Brian Gleeson and John James, businessmen Mark Nolan and John McArthur and community volunteers Peter Wilson and Ted Long.
A full list of inducted SPC Legends can be found here.
A stringent set of criteria has been established to ensure all inducted Legends meet a variety of requirements. The criteria and procedure for induction as an SPC Legend can be found here.
