St Patrick's College has an extensive performing arts program. Our highly regarded music groups perform nationally and throughout the region and regularly enjoy a tour to Brisbane to compete in the Catholic All-Schools Music competition and to perform at the renowned ‘Ekka’ Show. All students are encouraged to participate in the College’s music program. Music is a compulsory subject in Years 7 and 8 and an elective from Year 9 to VCE. The Music Program is supported by committed staff and innovative programmes to enhance skill development. St Patrick’s College is recognised as one of the leading music schools in Victoria having been regularly awarded prizes at the at the Melbourne Music festival and Royal South Street Competitions.
The College’s Performing Arts students perform a number of plays each year, enchanting audiences with both traditional and contemporary works, including an annual production with Loreto College. In 2018 the schools are combining to stage a performance of Beauty and the Beast.
Students also have the opportunity to study drama as a subject from Year 7 to VCE level.

Royal South Street Saxophone Success
St Patrick’s College Music Department has had a wonderful finish to the solo competition at Royal South Street.
