The St Patrick's College swim squad has enjoyed regular success in the BAS swimming competition, winning the overall boys aggregate for 32 successive years until Ballarat Grammar broke the stranglehold in 2013.

The SPC swimming program provides a great developmental opportunity for students to improve their stroke, technique and fitness throughout the year.

Predominantly held in Term 1, the boys compete against their fellow peers in the annual St Patrick's College swimming carnival and can then progress through to the SPC swim championships, followed by the BAS carnival.

All of these meets are held at the Eureka Pool with swim squad training beginning in Term 3. Students also have access to the Ballarat Aquatic Centre indoor heated pool on a Monday after school.
