Football

The College is recognised as having one of the leading programmes in the nation, having been the educated home of 85 VFL/AFL players including Brownlow medallists John James and Brian Gleeson and modern day players Matt Rosa (WCE), Clinton Young (Hawks), Drew Petrie (NM), James McDonald (Melbourne), Peter Walsh (Port Adelaide) and Tristan Cartledge (Essendon).

The College won the 2005 MCC Herald - Sun Shield, the state's premier football competition and is again in contention for the title.

In 2009 The College were defeated by Assumption College Kilmore in a nail biting final. Congratulations to all boys, Coach Mr Howard Clark and all supporters of the 1st XVIII.
