News around the Boarding Precinct

  • Year 9 camps have commenced and we have had many boarding students enjoy a change of scenery as they headed off for a three-day adventure to Queenscliff. Here they participated in a range of activities, including windsurfing and abseiling. They all certainly slept well on their return to boarding!

  • We wish current Boarders Mick and Tyson well as they return to Darwin to hopefully help their football teams secure victories in the up-coming finals series.

  • Our congratulations to those boarders who were recently named in the Greater Western Victoria Rebels squad for the 2019 season. We are aware of the commitment and dedication made by these boarders and their families but also extend our sympathies to those that may have just missed out. • We are very proud and pleased to see a large number of our Boarders developing and progressing their music talents through individual classes, both of a morning and during the day. This is encouraging sing-a-longs within the Precinct with our talented guitar players.

  • On Saturday March 2, the Boarders had a wonderful opportunity to spend a very warm day in Geelong. Wallets were given a work out at the Westfield Shopping Centre, before the group headed down to the beach to spend the afternoon in the water and on the sand. All appeared to have a fantastic time and slept very well that night!

  • Nine Boarders, ranging from Yr7 -“ Yr11, participated in the annual Clean Up Australia Day event. The Boarders did not hesitate to get their hands dirty and spent the morning cleaning up along the Yarrowee Creek. This also marked the beginning of our Social Justice Initiatives, with donations now being collected for the Ballarat Soup Bus and volunteers preparing for the up-coming community event -“ Walk Off the War Within.
