Boarding Precinct Appeal Update – December 12 2016

In exciting news, we are- a third of the way to reaching our $1 million fundraising target to help build St Patrick’s College’s new Boarding Precinct.

Since our launch in February, the Boarding Precinct Appeal Committee has received great support from the College community with over $334,000 raised already in cash and pledges.

The $5.3m new boarding precinct, to be built in the north-west corner of the College will, upon completion, provide state-of-the-art and custom-built boarding facilities for up to 100 boys.

This development will secure the future of boarding at St Patrick’s College for years and generations to come and is the most significant capital investment in boarding in the College’s 125-year history.

The College is borrowing heavily to fund this crucial development and is hoping to raise $1m from the generosity of its community to help pay for the building.

It is envisaged that building works will commence by the end of this year, if not early 2017 and it is anticipated that the building will be open and ready to house new boarders from the start of the 2018 school year.

To help, all donations above $2 are tax deductible and all donors will be acknowledged in College publications. Donations of $500 or above will be acknowledged on a permanent honour board which will feature in the new boarding precinct.
