Pastoral Care Report – March 28, 2018

Year 10 Father Son Night -“ thank you!

I would like to thank all fathers and mentors, and students, who attended our annual father son evening last week. It was a fantastic night, and a significant opportunity for both fathers and mentors, and students, to gain insight from the group discussions. These group discussions involved a group of around five students and five fathers or mentors, who did not know each other. This allowed both fathers and mentors, and students, to listen to the thoughts of other people they did not know, regarding what it means to be a good son, father or mentor, and the challenges that they all face during this crucial time in a young man’s life. I would encourage all fathers and mentors of Year 9 students to please consider taking up this opportunity in 2019.

In term two, the Year 7 Mother Son evening will take place on 22nd May, in the gym.- More details about this event will be circulated first week back of term two. Term two will also see students in Year 7, 8 and 12 commence studying our ground breaking child protection program, as part of the pastoral care program.
