Strong friendships continue to inspire

The years and decades may have rolled on by, but the school ties are just as strong as ever for this group of SPC boarders from the 1970s.

The group came together recently in Ouyen to celebrate the 70th birthday of their school mate, former boarder Rodney “Bushy” Vallance (SPC 1969-72).

The boarders, including Bernie Doran (SPC 1970-72), Peter Bell (SPC 1971-72), Keith Driesen (SPC 1971-72), Tim O ‘Shannessy (SPC 1966-73), Greg Foote (SPC 1970-72), Derry Monaghan (SPC 1971, PY1972), Gavan O’Donnell (SPC 1971-72), are all (bar one) originally from the Mallee.

The group reportedly “had a blast” together and we thank Peter Bell for sending this photo to us!
