St Patrick’s College has celebrated the creativity, skill and dedication of its VCE Arts and Technology students.
The College’s OCA Pavilion was transformed into a vibrant gallery space on Wednesday, 8 October as families, friends and staff gathered to admire the outstanding work produced by students undertaking Units 3 & 4 in Art Making and Exhibiting, Product Design and Technologies, Media, Systems Engineering and Visual Communication Design.
Around 100 people attended the showcase event, which provided the perfect platform for students to display the culmination of many hours of work – their School Assessed Task (SAT). Each SAT included a major production piece or pieces, supported by a detailed folio documenting the student’s design process, investigation, planning and evaluation.

Head of Technology and event coordinator, Mr Roger Knight, commended students on their creativity, persistence and craftmanship. He also thanked staff, families, and industry professionals for their continued support and encouragement of students throughout their creative journeys.
A highlight of the night was the presentation of awards recognising excellence across each subject area. Each award was judged by industry professionals, who assessed the works on their aesthetic, practical and cultural appeal, as well as the quality and communication of their supporting folios. Winners received $100, a prize certificate, and their names engraved on the perpetual trophy. Deputy Principal – Academic Culture, Ms Carol Roberts, presented students with their awards.
This year’s award recipients were:
Art Making and Exhibiting: Zac Procaccino
Media: Riley Irvin
Product Design and Technologies: Riley Irvin
Systems Engineering: Ned Cummins

People’s Choice Award: Albie Eskdale
The College extends our sincere thanks to this year’s adjudicators, Ms Hisu Lee (Art/Visual Communication Design), Mr Damon Minotti and Mr Aaron Coulter (Systems Engineering), Mr Brian Cush (Product Design and Technologies) and Ms Jeanean Pritchard (Media) for generously sharing their time, expertise and professional insight in selecting this year’s award recipients.
