We are saddened to hear of the passing of Benjamin (Benny) Timothy Conroy (SPC 1989-93, PY1994) on 8 June 2025.
Benny was the son of Brian and Judith Conroy (dec) and brother of Suzanne. He was the partner of Nelly and cherished father of Jack (SPC 2015-20) and Abbey and a grandfather of one.
His funeral was held at the Doveton Park Funeral Centre on 20 June and family and friends were invited to wear Essendon colours. There was a strong representation of Old Collegians at his funeral.
We understand Benny faced a tough battle with cancer over the past three years and faced it all with both courage and humour.
Benny was a day student at SPC from Ballan, following in his dad Brian’s (SPC 1943) footsteps. He arrived in Year 7 and completed Year 11. He was involved in football and cricket in his early years, and was described as a consistent player.
