Term 3 provided an opportunity to celebrate the creativity, commitment and talent of our Performing Arts students at the 2026 Performing Arts Showcase.

The annual event recognised the achievements of students across music, drama, debating and public speaking, celebrating not only performance excellence but also the dedication, leadership, teamwork and enthusiasm that students bring to the Performing Arts at St Patrick’s College.

From the stage to the rehearsal room, behind the scenes and behind the lectern, our students have embraced opportunities to develop their skills and share their talents throughout the year. The Showcase provided a fitting opportunity to recognise their individual achievements while celebrating the strength and diversity of the College’s Performing Arts community.

Acting Head of Performing Arts Ms Samantha-Bashford Leger said it had been a wonderful year for Performing Arts at SPC.

“What a year it has been! The talent of our Performing Arts students has been exceptional. Tonight, we acknowledge and congratulate the commitment, dedication and skill of all who have taken part in our Performing Arts events,” she said.

Drama students were recognised across a wide range of categories, acknowledging the many skills required to bring a production to life. Awards celebrated emerging talent, dramatic performances, improvisation, technical production, leadership and directorial work, as well as the commitment and enthusiasm shown throughout the year.

Our music students were similarly recognised for their achievements across a broad range of ensembles and disciplines, including concert band, stage band, percussion, brass, woodwind, contemporary and rock bands, guitar, piano and voice.

Head of Music Mr Tim Snibson said the awards reflected the many hours of rehearsal and performance that underpin the College’s music program.

“It is a pleasure to be here tonight to celebrate the achievements, dedication and commitment of the students involved in music this year. Students of a wide range of abilities have showcased their talents throughout the year and we value this time of reflection as we celebrate the achievements of our dedicated musicians,” he said.

The Showcase also celebrated the achievements of students involved in debating and public speaking, recognising their ability to communicate ideas with confidence, think critically and represent St Patrick’s College with distinction.

Together, the awards provide a snapshot of another successful year in Performing Arts at St Patrick’s College. More importantly, they reflect the willingness of our students to step forward, challenge themselves, work collaboratively and share their talents with the wider College community.

Congratulations to all students recognised at this year’s Showcase, and to every student who contributed to the Performing Arts program throughout 2026.
