We were notified by family of the passing of Desmond (Des) Nolan (SPC 1956-59) on 12 March 2026.

Des was the loved husband of Paula and father of Aisling and Eamonn, and a grandfather of three.

A Funeral Mass was held at St Bernard’s Church in Belmont, Geelong on 19 March.

Des was a day student from Gordon, starting in First Year and completed four years of study, through to Intermediate B.

Des was remembered fondly by his Telstra work colleagues, where he was a manager for the West (Victoria) and Metro North areas, and worked at the North Melbourne Exchange.
