The Boarding Schools’ Association, based in London, has launched a groundbreaking online archive titled the Boarding School Book of Remembrance (BOBOR). This global digital initiative was unveiled in September to mark the Association’s 60th anniversary and the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
BOBOR is the world’s first international digital archive dedicated to commemorating the service and sacrifice of pupils, staff, governors, and volunteers connected to boarding schools. It is a valuable resource for educators, historians, researchers, alumni, families, and anyone with an interest in military and social history.
We are proud to announce that St Patrick’s College is now listed among the global and Australian schools featured in this archive. Our initial contribution includes records of 26 boarders who served and did not return from World War I, with plans to expand our entries in the future.
Being part of this living and continually evolving archive is a sincere honour. It allows us to preserve and pay tribute to our war history in a meaningful way. We are deeply grateful to be included alongside more than 100 schools across Australia, England, Wales, Scotland, the Republic of Ireland, New Zealand, and the United States.
