Jason Tann (SPC 1985-90)

Jason Richard Tann (SPC 1985-90) sadly passed away on 6 May 2025, aged 52 years. His funeral was held at the Chapel of Norwood Park Crematorium in Mitchell, ACT on 15 May.

We send our condolences to Jason’s wife Tracey and sister Rebecca.

Jason was a day student and studied Year 7 through to Year 12. He followed in the footsteps of his grandfather Vincent Gemmola (SPC 1938-41).

Jason enjoyed his time as part of the cadets at St Patrick’s College.

He was a member of the student council and very active in the cadets, finishing as a Warrant Officer Class One.

Jason was awarded a Defence Scholarship to the Australian Defence Force Academy in his senior year, and was captured (pictured below) in the 1990 College Annual chatting to a personnel member in front of an Australian Defence Force helicopter, after it had landed on the College’s Main Oval during a school day.
