We were very pleased to welcome Jack Oster (SPC 1956-58, PY1963) and his wife Ellen at the start of the school year.
It was the first time Jack has returned to the College in over 50 years and he was overjoyed to see how the College had changed.
Jack was a young boarder from the Dandenong Ranges in Melbourne, completing Fifth Grade through to First Year.
Jack recalled eating food packs sent from home, including his favourite, a block of Kraft cheddar cheese, during the weekend movie nights, which were held in what we now call the Bernard Heinz Theatre.
Jack now lives in Melbourne and was visiting Ballarat for a few days. We thank Jack and Ellen for coming to visit!
