Donovan brothers showcase why they are living legends

December 2, 2019

Great to see this recent story on Old Collegians and brothers Ray (SPC 1965-67) and Brian Donovan (SPC 1965, PY1967) in the Senior Magazine publication.

We heard from Ray recently, who let us know the two brothers were “pretty good (and) going into our 37th year” of transplant success after Ray donated one of his kidneys to Brian back in 1982.
Little did Ray know at the time, that he was helping to create a two-time world champion. At the age of 70, Brian took out gold in the Bowls Singles at the 2018 Australian Transplant Games. The Donovan brothers are a regular fixture at the Australian Transplant Games, which Brian co-founded with his wife Pauline in Melbourne in 1988.
