August 9, 2021 – College update on COVID-19

August 9, 2021

Dear Parents, Carers and Guardians of St Patrick’s College,

Following this morning’s announcement regarding the end to the latest COVID lockdown for regional Victoria, we are happy to report that the College will be welcoming all staff and students back on-site for face-to-face learning tomorrow, Tuesday, August 10.

We remind all students though that the wearing of masks remains mandatory except while eating or during times of exercise. Please note that students must wear masks when travelling to and from school on buses or other means of public transport. All students arriving at school tomorrow must wear masks unless they have a medical exemption. Please ensure that your son(s) comes to school with a mask tomorrow and in the weeks ahead.

We also remind all parents that if your son is displaying any cold or flu symptoms, or is feeling unwell in any way, then he is not to enter the College and should remain at home. If your son has cold or flu symptoms, he should be tested for COVID as per the Government’s expectations and guidelines.

We are excited that face-to-face learning will resume tomorrow. I thank all staff and students for their positive approach and professionalism while operating in a remote learning environment over the past few days. Staff have again worked tirelessly to ensure the continuity of learning for our boys during this latest period of remote learning and for this, we are grateful.

We also thank all parents for their ongoing understanding and support as we strive to provide the best educational outcomes for all boys, even in these challenging times.
