Cybersmart Parent Presentation

St Patrick’s College will host a special presentation by the Australian Communications and Media Authority, providing parents with information about how to keep their children safe online.

The Cybersmart Outreach-”Internet Safety Awareness presentation is thorough and nontechnical.

It covers a range of issues including:

* the ways children use the internet and emerging technologies

* potential risks for children online, such as cyberbullying, identity theft, inappropriate

contact and exposure to inappropriate content

* tips to help children stay safe online

The Cybersmart Parent Presentation will be on Monday June 1 at 7pm in the OCA Pavilion and entry is free.

Any parents wishing to attend this important event is urged to register with gkydd@stpats.vic.edu.au by Friday, May 29.
