Darwin Tour – Day 2

April 5, 2017

After a challenging & exhausting day at the army barracks yesterday, we had a relaxing & well-earned rest day to re-cooperate and freshen up. A sleep in & easy morning was in store for the boys & woke up & went for a refreshing dip followed by breakfast. At 2pm the non-playing group attended a training session in the harsh & unforgiving Darwin sun. At 4 the playing group got on the bus to TIO stadium where they prepared for the match against the NT Thunder. As grey clouds started to form overhead, a storm instantly rolled in and a downpour began leaving the boys amazed and some even scared. The non-playing group then arrived at the ground at around 6 and the game got under way at 6-30. The boys had a great start to the game with a 48-0 first quarter which set the tone for the game which was sure to be fast and contested. The end result was an overwhelming and impressive performance from the Patty boys running away with the end result being a 20 goal win. In all it was a great day to freshen the legs and get prepared for Thursday, which is sure to be a great day fishing.
