EREA announces new Principal of St Patrick’s College

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is with much pleasure that I announce that Steven O’Connor has been appointed to the position of Principal of St Patrick’s College in Ballarat, effective from January 2021.

Steven is an experienced leader in education including as a past Deputy Headmaster at St Patrick’s College. Currently Steven is Head of School at Santa Sabina College in Strathfield, and previously he has held the positions of Head of College/CEO at All Saints’ College in Bathurst; Principal/CEO at Trinity Anglican College in Albury-Wodonga; Deputy Principal at Thomas Carr College in Tarneit; and other senior positions including at Toowoomba Grammar School, and St Stanislaus’ College in Bathurst.

Steven complements his leadership experience with a sound academic record having a Master of Education (Education Administration) from Charles Sturt University; Master of Letters (History) from University of New England; Bachelor of Arts/Diploma of Education from the University of New England; and Diploma of RE (Catholic Schools) from Charles Sturt University.

On behalf of all members of the Edmund Rice Education Australia community, we take this opportunity to express our gratitude and respect for Stephen Hill for once again assuming the role of Acting Principal, a role he will retain for the remainder of the year.
