Headmaster’s Message – June 9, 2016

June 8, 2016

Dear Parents, Guardians, Friends and Students of St Patrick’s College,

Les Miserables

Last Wednesday evening the curtain went up for the 2016 Loreto College and St Patrick’s College production of Les Miserables – and what a production it was!

From the outset it was clear the standard of performance was exceptionally high. In particular, all of the lead performers sang and acted with great ability and confidence, together with an incredibly strong chorus who lifted the roof off the auditorium. On behalf of the entire St Patrick’s College community I would like to acknowledge each student involved in this year’s production. Whether in the cast, the orchestra or backstage, your commitment, dedication and energy has helped to shape a show that will long live in the memory of those who were present to watch it.- Each of you have been great ambassadors for the College, and have helped to further strengthen the continuing development of the performing arts at St Patrick’s College. Bravo!

Year 9 Melbourne Experience

Next week, our Year 9 students will be involved in the Melbourne experience. I would ask that all students carefully familiarise themselves with the procedures that have been outlined by your Year Level Coordinators, and that you are on time for set meetings and gatherings. As always, keep in mind you are representing the College at all times. I hope that you enjoy your week in the CBD.

Year 10 Work Experience

Next week sees the commencement of the Year 10 Work Experience Program. Having spoken to a number of boys in Year 10, the is a great sense of excitement about having the opportunity to participate in the work force and to measure one’s enjoyment in a particular occupation. We wish all Year 10 students the very best for this week.

Have a great weekend.

Mr John Crowley
