Middle School Report

March 31, 2022

by Mr Michael Busscher,  Director of the Middle School

It seems just like yesterday that we started the year and here we are rapidly approaching the end of Term 1. In what has been a typically very busy term we have been able to run the Swimming Carnival, we have all been on Camp down in Anglesea, the Community Service Program is off and running, we have completed a practice NAPLAN Test and numerous Assessment Tasks have been completed.

Next term, in the Middle School, we turn our attention to our Athletics Carnival, NAPLAN Testing, Dancing lessons with the girls from Loreto which will include our Year 9 Social, preparations for the Melbourne Experience, which will provide a Parent Information Evening and our Semester 1 Examinations to finish off the middle of the year.

I hope that all boys have considered joining our dancing program with Loreto as this has been a highlight over many years. A reminder that the first of the dancing lessons will be conducted in the first week back next term on Thursday, April 28 starting at 4.00pm and concluding at 5.00pm at the Loreto gymnasium. All boys will be dismissed from there.

Please note that there will be a Parent Information Night in the Pavilion on Wednesday, May 4 starting at 7.00pm to explain everything you need to know and plan for in regards to the Melbourne Experience that will be conducted in the second week of school in Term 3.

I hope that everyone has had a great start to the Middle School and that the Easter Holidays are a time of renewal and reinvigoration in preparation for yet another busy term in the Middle School.
