Middle School Report – March 17, 2016

March 17, 2016

As I write this, I am pleased to report that the Queenscliff camps are nearly completed. The

Middle School students have been outstanding with their engagement and willingness to participate in all of the activities offered. The staff at YMCA Camp Wyuna have once again ensured that our boys have had an experience which allowed them to bond with each other in a beautiful natural environment. The time that I have been able to spend immersed in the camp has been invaluable and I must congratulate the Pastoral Care teachers for their outstanding contributions once again throughout the duration of the camp. Special mention must go to the ever industrious Year 9 Coordinators Mrs Ashleigh Giampaolo and Mr Stuart Harridge for their impeccable organisation of the camp. Without their management events such as this would not be possible. I hope that your sons are sharing their experiences with you as they return from their first outdoor education experience for the year and they look forward to many more.

On another note, the Loreto Interaction day is taking place next Tuesday. Please see details below with the relevant information. This will be an excellent opportunity for our boys to interact with the girls from Loreto in a day designed for enjoyment and engagement. There will be several other events throughout the year for the boys so I encourage them to make a special effort to make the day a success.

Finally, with Easter nearly upon us, I would like to take the opportunity to wish all of the students, parents and staff a happy and safe break. May the holiday time spent with family be enjoyable and I hope that the boys take the time to recharge and prepare for a busy term two as their Middle School journey continues in 2016.

Kindest regards,

Mr Ross Wise

Director of Middle School
