New scholarships to celebrate opening of Performing Arts Centre

St Patrick’s College is excited to announce new scholarships to celebrate the forthcoming opening of its state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre.

The College is offering scholarships for Music, and Speech and Drama, for 2024 (and for the life of the student’s enrolment).

Acting Deputy Principal Carol Roberts said the new Performing Arts Centre would provide students with the opportunity to learn and work in an industry-level performance venue.

The new Performing Arts Centre is expected to be completed in December and ready for use at the start of 2024.

The College invites scholarship applications from both new and existing students.

Scholarships will be awarded to students who, in the opinion of the Principal and respective Heads of Music and Drama, will make enthusiastic and valuable contributions to the Performing Arts life of the College.

To apply for a scholarship, students should complete an application form and submit one audition video of between four to eight minutes addressing the following criteria:

  • Music Scholarship – Please complete this application form, along with submitting one audition video, demonstrating two contrasting musical works. The audition video should be between four to eight minutes in total.
  • Speech and Drama Scholarship – Please complete this application form, along with submitting one audition video, demonstrating one monologue and one work from a musical. The audition video should be between four to eight minutes in total.

Audition videos should be uploaded to YouTube, with the link emailed to scholarships@stpats.vic.edu.au. Please see these instructions on how to upload your audition video to YouTube.

Applications close 5pm on Friday 24 November.
