  • This great story with Old Collegian Patrick Cashin (SPC 2006-11) from the Buninyong-Mount Helen CFA, who was organising a contingent from Ballarat to compete in the Vic Emergency Services Games recently. To read more, click here
  • Well done to Old Collegian Cooper Sherman (SPC 2017-2022) who won a bronze medal in the Under 20 200m at the Australian Track and Field Championships at the weekend, finishing the final in a very fast 21.25 seconds.

  • Well done to 2021 College Captain Darcy Williams (SPC 2016-21) who recently won the St Kilda 2XU Olympic Triathlon Race 6 in the Elite Division. Darcy won with the fastest time of the day. Well done Darcy!
  • New Ballarat MP Joe McCracken (SPC 2003-05) talks about his first few months as state government representatives, calling it a “pinch yourself” moment in this story here
  • Great to hear of Old Collegian Tyrone McCuskey’s (SPC 1977-81, PY1982) involvement in the latest announcement of a new multi-million-dollar employment hub, including McCallum Disability Services, at Ballarat West Employment Zone. To read more, click here

  • Great to see Old Collegian Brian Maher (SPC 1968-70, PY1972) and Chris Robinson (SPC 1965-69, 1970) supporting the Cops ‘n’ Kids organisation through their community connections at Dean in this story here

    Austin Reinehr.

  • A big congratulations to Old Collegian Austin Reinehr (SPC 2018-21) who has been selected in the 2023 Australian Under 23 team to compete at the World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Austin will compete in the U23 Men’s Coxless Four. This follows earlier success with his selection to the Victorian Youth Under 21 Men’s 8 rowing crew alongside fellow Old Collegians Tom Foley (SPC 2017-22) and Jake Polkinghorne (2016-21).
  • Aaron Cadman (SPC 2016-2020, PY2021) has been in the spotlight lately for an early AFL debut with the GWS Giants (read more here)  and was also mentioned in a story recently featuring the 36 AFL stars to watch from Ballarat this season, including more than a dozen from St Pat’s, including brothers Dan (SPC 2009-14) and Sam Butler (SPC 2016-21) and Brad (SPC 2006-11) and Matt Crouch (SPC 2008-2013), Liam Duggan (SPC 2009-14), Josh Gibcus (SPC 2017-2021), Jacob Hopper (SPC 2014-15), Kai Lohmann (SPC 2018-21), Tom McDonald (SPC 2010), Daniel Rioli (SPC 2012-15), Harry Sharp (SPC 2016-19, PY2021) and James Van Es (SPC 2017-2022).   • Terrific to see Old Collegian Blake Thomson (2011-15) in the news after having an incredible form in Melbourne Premier Cricket and for the Victorian 2nd XI and is seeking to gain a State contract. Read more in this story here
