Springfest

A massive thank you to everyone who made themselves available to assist at the Springfest BBQ on Sunday 27th November. Our committee put together a fabulous day which was well supported by the public.

To all of our boys who assisted on the day, we have already received feedback commenting on your hard work, initiative, respectful and polite conduct. Well done on representing yourselves and the College so admirably.

Rowing Email Address

The rowing club now has its own email address so that any rowing queries can be filtered to the correct person. In future, please send all emails regarding rowing to rowing@stpats.vic.edu.au

Ironman 2016

Below is a message from Mark Pontil regarding the call for volunteer assistance from the club for the Ironman event on December 10th and 11th. This event is an extremely valuable source of fundraising for the club and it would be great if we could get as many volunteers from the club as possible. Remember, that volunteers don’t just have to be rowers or parents! You can ask siblings, relatives and friends to volunteer as well.

Hello parents, guardians, students and friends of St Patrick’s Rowing,

The Ironman event is fast approaching and our aim is to top last year’s donation received of $3100.

So our list is long and the question I pose to you all is “Can we do it?”

Friday 9th December

Athlete Check In – 3.30pm to 7pm – 25 volunteers-

Saturday 10th December

Parking Assistance – 6am to 2pm – 12 volunteers

Athlete Check In – 10.30am – 4.30pm – 25 volunteers

IRONKIDS event – Marshals for Bike – Run – Swim – 7.15am to 10am – 30 volunteers

Sunday 11th December

Our favourite spot on the finish line:

Finish Line Assistants – 10.30am to 4pm – 25 volunteers

Recovery Area – 10.30am to 4.00pm – 15 volunteers

Parking Assistance – 5.30am till 11am – then down to 2 people on the gate.

This is worth about $2,500 in donations if we fill all spots. If you are able to volunteer your time please advise:

Volunteers name (if child under 18, list age)

A contact name, number and email address so further info can be sent.

Also tell some of your friends what fun it was and see if you can bring some new people along, the more the merrier.

Yours sincerely,

Mark Pontil
