SPC marks 2019 Remembrance Day

November 11, 2019

St Patrick’s College has today paused to remember the brave men who served our nation in World War I which ended 101 years ago.

We pay particular respects to the 297 Old Collegians who fought in the Great War , many of whom did not return.

Staff and students gathered for a short, solemn service which included a minute’s silence and the playing of the Last Post.

We also laid a wreath at the base of the College’s World War I memorial which is located in the Waterford Wing.

Biographies on many of the Old Collegians who fought in WWI can be read at this link.
