SPC students attend Shrine service

April 23, 2015

A delegation of students from St Patrick’s College attended the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne on Thursday, April 23 2015 as part of Legacy’s commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing.

Four students,- Fletcher Loader, Matthew Aikman, Matthew Duffy and James Parini were chosen to represent the College as they joined others from schools around Victoria at the sombre ceremony.

Each year St Patrick’s College sends a delegation to this important event as part of our annual Anzac Day celebrations.

Along with this visit to the Shrine, the College has also this week held a commemorative assembly to mark the Anzac centenary and, next week, will launch a history book tracing the details of the 297 Old Collegians who fought in World War I.

Lest we forget.
