SPC v Scotch College

Today’s match report can really be summed up in one word, -domination-. – The Year 8 boys were fantastic today in attack and defence. – The forwards were supplying plenty of opportunity to the whole team by securing our own ball and pilfering opposition ball as well.

The back line led by Squire, Antrobus and Craig -“ Peters were playing the style of play that we have been aspiring to all year. – They were able to spread the opposition defence by creating width and it allowed Cooper and Sean to dance through the opposition backline, it also allowed plenty of possession for our wingers and White, Spratling and Evans all enjoyed great runs along the touch line. – Antrobus scored the first try after less than a minute and from there it was a procession of St Pat’s tries.

Unfortunately the game was called off due to the mercy rule and Scotch College, a proud rugby school, would be hurting after such a comprehensive defeat.

This week we take on Brighton at home and like St Pat’s they have three wins and a loss, so we are expecting a much tougher assignment.
