Where are they now – Jaslar Pearl (SPC 2012-13, PY2017)

December 2, 2019

The College recently reconnected with Jaslar Pearl (SPC 2012-13, PY2017) who is honing his passion for fashion and has recently started a clothing label.

Jaslar Pearl.

Where has life taken you since leaving SPC?

Life has taken me to the Gold Coast where I managed a bar at Paradise resort.  I’ve had a passion for fashion since I was very little designing and making clothes since the age of nine. During my time at Paradise resort I spent my spare time honing my craft and planning to start a clothing label which is now known as “Jaslar Pearl”.

What are your fondest memories of your time at St Patrick’s College?

My fondest memories of St Patrick’s College would be in the computer lab doing something creative like making 8-bit games.

Which teacher from your time at SPC had the greatest impact on you? Why?

I feel like Mr (Peter) Brady impacted me the most as he was wise and a realist. He not only educated the students with curriculum but how to become successful at life in general.

How has your education shaped your professional life?

From my education at SPC I have been given the drive, ability and professionalism to run a profitable business and respected by my colleagues.

How has your time at SPC shaped your personal values and your family life?

My time at SPC has shaped my personal values in ways of teamwork. I believe SPC’s values lie strongly with teamwork and helping others and I believe this transcribed to my own personnel values and family life.

If you could pass on one message to the students of today, what would it be?

I would say make use of the community, facilities, faculty and subjects that St Patrick’s College has to offer as they offer a lot of support that you can’t find in other places.
