Where are they now – Matthew Doyle (SPC 1998-2003)

February 17, 2023

We recently reconnected with Matthew Doyle (SPC 1998-2003) who will be returning from years abroad in the Netherlands in time to attend his Class of 2003 20-Year Reunion in early May. In the meantime, Matthew offers a glimpse into his life since then.

Matthew Doyle.

“I grew up in Ballarat and finished Year 12 at SPC in 2003.

Since leaving school, I played football for a few years at North Ballarat as I attended Monash University, eventually becoming an accountant.

I have been involved in the agriculture industry since I was 16, first in operations and then on and off in finance in the industry in both Australia and England.

In 2015 I was invited to Rotterdam, Netherlands to work in finance for Viterra where I’ve stayed for the past eight years.

I met Shenon, my partner in Rotterdam and we’ve recently welcomed our third child. We are moving back to Ballarat in April 2023 and I’ll be joining a family business, CHS Broadbent, also in the agriculture industry.

My fondest memories of SPC would be the mates I kept, playing football and sport with school, and down-ball at lunch time.”
