I was a second-year resident at St Vincent’s Hospital from 1961 to 1962 and then a first-year resident at the Royal Women’s Hospital in 1963. I spent the following 60 years in general practice at Leongatha from 1964-2015, when I retired.

How has your education shaped your professional life?

My education at SPC helped develop a very sound Catholic conscience.

How has your time at SPC shaped your personal values and your family life?

I have endeavoured to instil into my family sound Catholic Christian beliefs and practices.

If you could pass on one message to the students of today, what would it be?

Please do not be influenced by propaganda regarding to amoral practices -“ those contrary to beliefs instilled by a good Catholic upbringing.
