We were notified of the sad passing of Peter Neylon (SPC 1958-61) back on 18 August 2024, aged 71 years after several years of declining health.

He was a day boy at SPC and Dux of second grade in 1960.

From left, John Hurley, Neil Jens, John Faulkner, Peter Favaloro, Michael Cimino, Christopher Lewis, Peter Neylon, Frank Basham and Tony Terrill, pictured after making their first Holy Communion on the first Friday of October in 1959.

He was the much-loved partner of Alison for over 30 years.

Peter was an ambulance paramedic for nearly 40 years, most of this on MICA. In addition, he served the community for many years in various volunteer organisations, including St John Ambulance where he organised the communications centre and the Lake Mountain Ski Patrol where he instructed in first aid and rescue skills.

Peter loved reconnecting with SPC at St Patrick’s Day reunions in some of his later years.
