We were notified of the passing of Joseph Saviour Natoli (SPC 1951, PY1953) on 14 April 2024, aged 91 years.
Joseph was the loving husband of Maria-Francesca and father to Richard, Maurizio, Sandro and Olivia and a cherished Nonno to nine.
In a moving tribute, his family stated Joseph’s “gentle spirit and unconditional love touched our hearts … and his legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire us”.
His Funeral Mass was held at St Anthony’s Shrine Catholic Church in Hawthorn on 3 May 2024, and a Memorial Mass was held at Michael and Johns Catholic Church in Horsham on 10 May.
Joseph was a boarder from Horsham and only spent one year at SPC, completing his Intermediate A studies. During that year, he was a member of the winning Galvin House premiership in the Oval competition.
His son Richard said Joseph spent his life living in his hometown of Horsham until shortly before his passing when he was moved to Melbourne for medical care.
