SAGERS – Environmental Action Group Update

October 29, 2018

Our College environmental action group,- SAGERS,- continues to grow with many students interested and concerned about our environment. Recently Mr Weadon, our Sustainability Coordinator, attended a talk organised by the Edmund Rice Network and other partners. The former president of Kiribati spoke about the impact of climate change on his nation. Most notable was his revelation that his nation was in a 15 year process to depopulate the county to avoid becoming climate refugees. This is certainly a challenge to Austalia’s relaxed level of action on climate change.
