Year 7 2024 Families

Uniform

In Term 1 and Term 4, students should wear the full Summer uniform. In Term 2 and Term 3, they need to wear the full Winter uniform. School uniforms can be purchased through the College Shop, which is located next to our Reception. It is highly recommended you act now to purchase your son’s uniform if you haven’t already done so. The College Shop is open weekdays from 8.15am-3.45pm and will remain open until Monday 11 December, before re-opening on 18 January 2024. Please contact the College Shop for an appointment, by emailing Michelle at collegeshop@stpats.vic.edu.au or phone 5331 1688.

Instrumental Music Showcase

On Orientation Day, your son will have the opportunity to attend a Music performance and instrument demonstration, presented by a range of ensembles and the Music Staff.

Individual instrumental Music lessons are offered on a range of instruments (including voice), with our specialist Music teachers. These are 30 minutes in length and are scheduled by negotiation, between parents and the instrumental teacher. If your son is interested and would like to commence instrumental Music lessons, application forms will be handed out on Orientation Day.

Please note that Year 7 students who take up instrumental lessons will be exempt from paying an instrument hire fee for the first year however lesson fees apply. Students are also invited to take part in our co-curricular ensemble program. There is no fee to join the ensemble program.

Booklist

The Year 7 Booklist will be available to all families in the coming weeks. All required books and stationery are included on this list. The College will supply some resources for certain subjects, as needed. Families will be notified when the Booklist is available.

School Fees

The College is set to finalise tuition fees and other charges shortly and fee notices will be issued towards the end of December. Payment plans are available but need to be in place before the start of Term 1.

Parent Access Module (PAM)

The Parent Access Module (PAM) will become your key portal for ongoing communication with the College. This will be the place where you can upload and update crucial student information, including medical and dietary requirements (these are required prior to your son starting the school year).

It will also be the place where you will provide permission for your son to attend excursions/camps etc. Should your son be absent from school, you can also use PAM to notify the College. Through PAM, you will also be able to monitor your son’s academic progress and contact his teachers. Your PAM login details will be emailed to you before your son commences school.

The College App

The College App is a convenient source of up-to-date information and communication from the College. It can also be used to let the College know of your son’s absence, as well as providing easy access to our College newsletter (The Crest), and a variety of other College communications. We recommend that all families download the App onto their preferred device.
