Calling on Old Collegians to be part of new multi-purpose centre construction

September 18, 2020

St Patrick’s College is calling on its Old Collegian community to be part of the College’s exciting new chapter of building development.

Old Collegians, with relevant consulting and trade experience, are warmly invited to express their interest to be involved in the design and construction of a new multi-purpose centre on the Wanliss St side of the College.

The need for such a centre was identified following a thorough Master Planning process which was launched in late 2018.

Expressions of interest are now being sought for consideration from former students with relevant trade and building experience, including engineers, town planning, plumbers, electricians, builders, plasterers, concreters etc.

Acting Principal Stephen Hill said the College was looking forward to the opportunity to work with the College’s talented Old Collegian community to help bring this exciting new vision to reality.

Concept plans for the new multi-purpose centre include an assembly hall, a permanent stage, flexible learning spaces, performing rooms, music tutorial rooms and associated storage areas. The facility will also include the creation of a new amenities area for the students and provide a new, safe, and welcoming forecourt for the Wanliss Street entry.

Architects will be announced shortly and it is hoped building will commence in mid-to-late 2021. The construction phase is anticipated to be 12 months.

Old Collegians are warmly invited to email the College’s Business Manager Andrew Ballesty at aballesty@stpats.vic.edu.au if they would like their business to receive further information about the project.
