Year 9 Queenscliff Camp

Over the coming weeks the Year 9 students will attend the first of their experiential experiences.

By now the boys will have received their information letter and permission form. This needs to be handed in by the 22 February, the 24 February at the latest.

The three-day, two-night camp will see the students involved in a variety of outdoor activities; snorkeling, surfing, canoeing, bike riding, beach fitness and team building initiatives.

They will operate in four groups, rotating through the activities and will be accompanied by a St Patrick’s College staff member as well as a YMCA staff member.

During the evenings the boys will spend time further exploring the Rite Journey Program and will have the opportunity to participate in Mass on one of the evenings.

The camp dates are as follows:

Camp 1

Monday, March 6 to Wednesday, March 8 = 9B, 9C, 9D

Camp 2

Wednesday, March 8 to Friday, March 10 = 9G & 9I

Camp 3

Tuesday, March 14 to Thursday, March 16 = 9E & 9A

Camp 4

Wednesday, March 15 to Friday, March 17 = 9F & 9H

St Patrick’s College and Loreto College Interaction Day

Also this term we will be undertaking the Year 9 St Patrick’s and Loreto College Interaction Day.

The Year 9 Interaction day will be taking place in the last week of this term. Below are important details of the day:

When: Thursday 30th March

Where: St Patrick’s College and Loreto College

Time: 9.00am -“ 3.25pm

Attire: PE uniform

Food: Must bring own lunch and snacks

Our aim is to continue to develop a connectedness between the two schools, particularly Year 9, by providing them with a variety of activities to participate in. This Interaction Day will begin the process which will culminate in the Year 9 Dancing Program and Year 9 Social in Term Three.

To begin with the activities are student driven and will be run by a selected group of students from St Patrick’s and Loreto who have been identified as leaders. The aims of the activities are to promote interaction between both single sex schools.
