June 20, 2018

This week has seen the entire Year 9 cohort move down to Melbourne for classes and despite the public transport issues all has been running very smoothly. The Melbourne Experience is designed to promote important life skills, such as independence, initiative and responsibility, and provide a real world link to the Year 9 Curriculum.

The Melbourne Experience Objectives include:

  • Learn about different aspects of Melbourne

  • History, Culture, Arts, Sport, Design and Innovation

  • Learn how to use public transport

  • How to navigate around the Melbourne CBD

  • Develop teamwork and independence skills

  • Experience a range of activities across the CBD

In Term Three, Year 9 students will have the opportunity to participate in Ballroom Dancing Classes with Year 9 students from Loreto College starting the first week back on Wednesday July 18.- Classes will be conducted in the Pavilion at St Patrick’s College, from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.- There is a 200 student limit of places available in both the lessons and the Social.
