Performing Arts Report – April 26, 2018

Anzac Day

The Marching Band consists of students from years 7 to 12. This is a wonderful opportunity for boys of each year level to work together to perform at a high standard. The group was formed at music camp and then has four rehearsals to prepare for the day. It is especially pleasing to watch the younger boys thriving under the stewardship of the seniors.

The Ballarat Anzac Day Service performance magnificently showcased the boy’s development. The group, under the leadership of Drum Major Damian Johnson (Year 12), consisted of thirty-four members. It is so pleasing that each year the group continues to grow.

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation on behalf of the boys to Mr. Peter Gunn who once again developed the group into a polished unit.-
